Petros Isaakidis, born in Greece, is a medical doctor/epidemiologist and researcher who has worked in Kenya, Gaza & West Bank, Cambodia, India, Thailand, South Africa, and elsewhere. He holds a Master of Arts in Creative Writing (with distinction) from the University of Cape Town. He has published extensively in scientific journals, while his poetry and prose—in English and Greek—have appeared in Anti-Heroin Chic, Ariel Chart, Stachtes, Chartis, Thraca, Planodion – Bonsai Stories, The New Contrast, Eunoia Review, Stanzas, New Coin, and elsewhere. His flash-fiction stories have been included online and in anthologies, such as “In Other Stories”(Karavan Press, 2025). His bilingual poetry collection volcanoed/ηφαιστειωθείς was shortlisted for the Thraca Award 2024 and published in 2025 (Thraca/Botsotso). He lives in Cape Town.
